Week By Week Log 2018
Week By Week Blog. (September To December)
I have decided to make this little page for notes and research to show my progress through ideas and what is going on in class, meaning; what have I done what I am going to do, what went well and how I am/ would have improved upon my work. This will go on here Until the new year, starting in January 2019 (I might re-design this page but for now, this is how it is.)
Week Zero:
Summer Project-
This was not just a week but I am going to sum up everything that I did for the blog post Summer Project. I do want to give more of an informal overview of that post just to add it into the week by week. This project did take over the summer, I didn't just get it done over the last week. I originally planned to film a live action, like the film itself, a recreation of the opening scene from Camp Rock but I couldn't get the talent or crew to help me film it.It got passed my schedule and I was getting behind on plans so I decided to create this project in The Sims 4 game, the quality of the screen capture wasn't the best as the game was on low settings because I only have a laptop so running the game as it is was a struggle let alone trying to record it.
The End Product- The Video for those of you who want to watch there is the link.
I am happy with how it came out, sad that I didn't think about how it was going to look on YouTube, let's just say it looks way better on Premier Pro.
Week One:
Dear Alice-
In Tony's lesson, we were set a week to find a video that had bad audio and make better audio for it. Even though the audio isn't bad in the video I choose I felt like some of the audio didn't match up to what was being shown on screen. The video like is of the original as I just got the project but I will keep posting about it here under this subheading. I have currently finished getting all of the audio I wanted. I got some from Tony and made a lot of them myself in the sound booth at college. I will write a post about this throughout completing this and publish the finished product.
8 Scene Challenge
In Justin's lesson, we were given the task of making a camera edited video short, with no sound or dialogue. using as many shot types as possible. We were put randomly in groups of three and my group came up with a stalker/ murder mystery. It was good, the ending shot was rushed but the story-line was clear and to the point, it was more of a funny parody which I think was what we ended up going for. If I were to film it again, I would have found a less busy corridor as we wasted a lot of time trying to wait for people to get out of shot.
